Assistant Guide Conference - Canoeing - Echo Reservoir, Colesville

*All invited who wish to become a Mt Mama Assistant Guide. Must have previous experience in this activity.

Itinerary -

5:30 pm - Meet/Safety Chat

6 - 7:30 pm - Practice Techniques and Rescue; Review skills and pass-off

Directions - Echo Reservoir, Henefer

Cost: $15 pp for canoe rental

Activity-

Guide Skills - Paddling: Forward stroke, back stroke, draw stroke, pry stroke, J stroke

Technique: Changing paddlers in open water

Rescue: Bringing in person overboard, emptying canoe on open water

Gear - thin T-shirt, thin long-sleeve shirt, rain jacket, shorts or hiking pants, swimming suit, running shoes or sandals, 1-2 L water in water bottle, 2-4 snacks, small backpack with strap to buckle onto kayak or dry bag, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, first aid kit, Life jacket (will provide), canoes (will rent)
