*Must have Rappelled in the lasts 2 years to attend
** Required to attend any canyoneering trips in the next 12 months
Itinerary:
Training - 1-5 pm
Directions: Echo Picnic area, American Fork Canyon
Cost: $6 day use fee or FREE with National Parks Pass
Activity:
Canyoneering Clinic - Learn the Core Skills from the American Canyoneering Association, including Logics and Safety, Leave No Trace, Rope and Equipment Care, Basic Knots, Intro to Anchors and Rigging, Signals/Communication, Climbing/Spotting/Hand Lines, Rappelling/Belaying/Self-Rescue skills. Rappelling experience required in the last 2 years. This time we will brake into 3 groups: lecture, knots and rappelling (women have to be able to add friction and lock off while rappelling).
