Hike/Snowshoe - Silver Lake, Brighton (Beginner)

Itinerary

Carpooling - 7 am

Trailhead -830 am

Hike/Snowshoe - 8:45-10 am

Directions - I-15 north, rt 2-15 east, 6400 S exit, left Big Cottonwood Canyon to Brighton Ski

Resort. Park at Solitude Nordic Center

Activity -

Hiking Silver Lake -  Hike/Snowshoe Silver Lake Trail -  0.9 miles around Silver Lake starting at the Nordic

Center. In the summer it is about 1/2 on boardwalk with fishing boat docks. Watch

for alternate trails in the winter and summer that can take you off into the woods.

Gear - (depending on weather) ski pants, synthetic T-shirt, long sleeve synthetic top, long sleeve fleece, coat, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, gloves, camelback or regular back pack with waist belt, 2-3 Liters water, 4-6 snacks, first aid kit, waterproof boots, snowshoes (depending on weather)
