Hiking - Mt Timpanogos (Extreme)

Itinerary -

630 am - Carpooling

730 am - Aspen Grove Trailhead and Instruction

745-1200 pm - hike to Emerald Lake

12-1230 pm - lunch

1230-230 pm - summit

3-8 pm - hike down

Directions - Aspen Grove, American Fk Cyn 

Cost -  Day use fee: $6 cash per car or FREE with National Parks Pass

Activity -

Hike Mt Timpanogos by Aspen Grove Route - 13.9 mile difficult trail. Starting at the Aspen Grove Trailhead head up 2 miles past 2 waterfalls. Continue upward through switchbacks to Emerald Lake. Lunch. Head into the Primrose Basin and up a rocky path to the Saddle. Continue along rocky cliffs overlooking Provo to the summit. Trail Report. 

Gear -  long sleeve shirt, hiking pants or shorts, T-shirt, fleece, waterproof jacket, light gloves, daypack with waistbelt, 3 L water, 8-12 snacks, sunglasses, baseball hat, sunscreen, running shoes/hiking boots, first aid kit, headlamp with extra batteries, trekking poles
