Youth Hike - Box Canyon, Maple Canyon

*This is part of the Youth Summer Hikes Program running April-Sept. Open to all ages! We may cap the trip at 20 for safety, depending on the trip. Parents MUST attend with youth. Every youth is $5/mo or $20/summer. Venmo @mtmamas with youth name and age.

Itinerary

Trailhead - 10:00 am

Hike - 10:15am - 1:00 pm

Directions - Box Canyon, Maple Canyon, Fountain Green (1 hr 20 min drive from Lehi, 1 hr drive from Springville)

Activity - Hiking Box Canyon Trail - 1.2 mile round trip out and back dirt trail with rock scrambling and a few large boulders up to 15 ft to climb requiring adult assistance. Towering cobblestone walls and ends in a waterfall. Optional rock climbing for those interested. Trail Report. 

Gear - Hiking pants/shorts, synthetic T-shirt, long sleeve synthetic top, long sleeve fleece, light waterproof jacket, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, backpack, 1 Liters water, 2-4 snacks, first aid kit, hiking boots/running shoes, whistle (for youth)
