Backpacking - CHANGED TO WILLOW LAKE - Lake Catherine (Intro Clinic)

Itinerary:

Carpooling - 3pm

Day 1:

Lake  Mary Trailhead - 4 pm

Hike in 2.2 miles -415-515 pm 

Camp and set up - 530 pm

Dinner - 6 pm

Optional Hike to Sunset Peak - 7-9 pm

Day 2:

Hike out  (1-2 hrs)

Pack up and head home

Directions - Lake Mary Trailhead, Brighton Parkinglot, Big Cottonwood Cyn 

(Bathrooms at the trailhead in the Brighton Lodge first floor)

Backpacking Lake Catharine via Brighton Lakes Trail - 2.2 mi one way hike to the lake. All Trails Trip Report

Evening Hike to Sunset Peak -  2 miles round trip out and back. Trip Report

Gear - Thin T-shirt, thin long-sleeve shirt, fleece, puffy coat, rain jacket, shorts or hiking pants, swimming suit, running shoes, hiking boots, 2 L water, water filter (can rent), 8-10 snacks, 65+ liter backpack with waistbelt, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, first aid kit, sleeping bag (warmest you can get - down is preferred) (can rent), sleeping pad (can rent), tent (can rent), headlamp, pj's, toiletries, dehydrated or backpacking meals.
