Activity: Hiking Fairyland Loop in Bryce Canyon - This 8 mile loop trail is generally considered a moderately challenging route with 1,545 ft of elevation gain. It takes around 5 hours to complete and is a very popular trail to hike.We started at Sunset Point and went clockwise around the trail. In early spring took 7 hours, but the conditions with an added mile and worse trail conditions (lots of snow and post holing, had to snowshoe and use spikes). Very exhausting. Late spring took 5 ½ hours- conditions were great- muddy, some snow, but mostly dry. All Trails Trip Report.

Tip: Don't trust the rangers assessment of the trail, stick to trail reviews on trusted apps.

Gear: Hiking pants, warm hiking socks and boots, short and long sleeve shirt, light jacket, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, hiking backpack for water/snacks/lunch, microspikes (just in case), bags for muddy shoes afterwards in the car
