Activity:
One of the best beginner-friendly canyoneering adventures in Moab. The last rappel, Morning Glory Arch, is the end of a hike so expect a crowd awaiting your dramatic entrance from above. 45-60 min hike across flat desert with some scrambling and stemming. One option for a 20 ft downclimb with a handline attached to a small shrub. First rappel marked by east facing triple fin formation. First rappel 110 ft with bolts and chains from 2 different rappel stations. Rt bolt rappel station drops rappeller straight down, left bolt rappel station drops rappeller into a pool 3/4 the way down, which at this time of year had about 1 ft of water. A 30 ft slot canyon before hiking across a 300 yd walk to top of second rappell. About 165 ft with bolts on the far left. Rappel is behind the arch. 2 1/4 mi hike out mostly flat with several stream crossings which can be confusing so watch for the branches blocking bad trails. We swam in one of the pools and it was amazing! Road Trip Ryan Trip Report
