Hiking - Birds Eye Trail - Red Canyon State Park 2/19/22

Easy hike with hoodoos and free!

Directions - Birds Eye Trailhead (across street from Golden Wall Trailhead), Red Canyon State Park, Utah

Activity -

Microspike/Hike Birds Eye Trail (easy)- 1.7 mile one way trail mostly flat. Starts below the hoodoos and traverses around a valley and then starts to climb below the hoodoos. Best part of trail is the west end. Trail Report

Cost - Free


Gear - hiking pants/shorts, hiking shoes, poles (optional), long sleeve fleece, light waterproof jacket, gloves, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, camelback or regular back pack, 1 Liters water, 3-4 snacks +road trip snacks and such


Itinerary:

Dinner on the road

Check into hotel

8pm – Night Stargazing in Bryce Cyn NP


630am – Sunrise at Sunrise Point

8am – Breakfast at Ruby’s Inn945am- Everyone meet at Bryce Canyon Visitors Center

10-1pm – Hike Bryce NP (Queens Garden to Navajo Loop – 3.5mi)

130pm – Lunch on your own

230-430 – Hike Birds Eye and other trails in Red Canyon (1-2 mi hike)

5pm – Dinner in Panguich

6-10pm – Drive Home
