Directions: Bloods Lake Trailhead, Big Cottonwood Cyn

Activity: Hiking - Bloods Lake - 2.7 mile total out and back. Moderate dirt trail to beautiful lake. 1st Lake -Bloods (elevation gain 429, 2.7 mi, 1 hr 14 min) Beginner to intermediate. 2nd Lake (optional) -Lackawaxen has a (1,236 ft elevation gain 4.9mi. 3 hr). which is not nothing. I would call it an intermediate hike for sure. Note there is a rock scramble just before 2nd lake. See pic. Not hands and feet peak scramble but a traverse across a boulder path that is very uneven. Takes 5 min to cross but could be tricky with balance issues or knee concerns. Pit toilets at trailhead.

Cell service whole hike. All Trails Trip Report

Tips:

- Original trail only took an hour so good portion of the grouper opted to go to 2 lakes (Bloods Lake and Laxawaxen Lake) to see more and do 3 hrs total. All Trails Trip Report
