Sample Itinerary -
Carpooling - 830 am
Hike - 9:30-12:00 am
Directions - Wardsworth Cyn Trailhead, Hobble Creek Cyn - Once dirt begins you have gone too far.
Activity -
Dog Hiking Wardsworth Canyon - The trail is about 7 miles round trip with minimal elevation gain—just a few gentle hills—making it perfect for beginners and very dog-friendly. There are around 10 creek crossings each way (so about 20 total), though there are a few alternate paths if you'd prefer fewer crossings. There is a good amount of shade on the trail, as well. The creek water is clean and safe for dogs to drink, so no need to bring extra water for them.
Tip:
You might end up with wet feet. Waterproof shoes, extra pair of socks, and or sandals for the drive home might not be a bad idea.
Gear - Dog (optional but highly encouraged!), dog leash, Hiking pants, synthetic T-shirt, long sleeve synthetic top, fleece, light waterproof jacket(optional), hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, gloves, camelback or regular back pack with waist belt, 1.5 Liter water, 1-2 snacks, first aid kit, hiking boots/running shoes
