Hiking Heugh's Cyn - Heughs Canyon Trail is a 3.1 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Sandy, Utah that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. You hike 0.36 miles/10 min moderate uphill grade through a neighborhood, gated community and up to the dirt trail. Trail heads moderate uphill grade on a dirt/rocky trail with small stream to your left most of the hike. After about 30 min or 0.6 miles you meet up with the Bonneville Shoreline trail on your left. (About 30 feet before this junction is a small alcove cave on the left). It is about another 30 min to the falls. You will cross two foot bridge crossings. Following second one is a 200 ft steep incline, then turn rt at the boulder field. Make your way along the bottom to the cliff wall and head right to the waterfall hidden in an alcove. Trail Report
Gear - Hiking pants, synthetic T-shirt, long sleeve synthetic top, long sleeve fleece, light waterproof jacket, hat, headlamp, sunglasses, sunscreen, camelback or regular back pack with waist belt, 2-3 Liters water, 4-6 snacks, first aid kit, hiking boots/running shoes, trekking poles (optional)
