Springville - 9:15 am

Trailhead - 9:45 am

Hike - 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

*Note the trailhead is NOT the same trailhead for hiking to Squaw Peak, and the links do not reflect the new name, Kyhv Peak. Instead, google "Squaw Peak Overlook." Go up Provo Canyon 4.1 miles, and it will be the first road on your right (Squaw Peak Road). Turn right at 0.3 miles onto Forest Rd 199. Squaw Peak Viewpoint/Overlook.

Activity - Hike Kyhv Peak Overlook (formerly Squaw Peak Overlook) to Buffalo Peak. A 4.7 mile out-and-back trail located near Provo, Utah that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate.

Gear - Hiking pants, synthetic T-shirt, long sleeve synthetic top, light waterproof jacket (optional), hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, camelback or regular back pack with waist belt, 2-2.5 Liters water, 3-4 snacks, first aid kit, hiking boots/running shoes, trekking poles (optional)
