Hiking/Laser Tag - Paul Bunyan's Woodpile/Silver City 4/22/21

As crazy cool as it sounds. Explore these unique formations and hidden arch. Top it off with a laser battle in the nearby ghost town of Silver City.

Drive: I-15 south to Santaquin, Hwy 6 west, past Eureka, left Paul Bunyans Rd. Trailhead

Activities:

Hike Paul Bunyan's Woodpile - 1.6 mile out and back trail. Dirt trail follows gully, then

ascends slope with short switchbacks to rock formation and arch. Trail Info.

Great for whole family. I wouldn't recommend it to 2-3yr old toddlers walking on

their own as volcanic rock gets steep and unstable around formations.

Laser Tag Silver City - Located about 14 miles north of Paul Bunyans trailhead rt off Hwy 6. Ghost town with many old stone buildings. This site is also very popular and

fantastic for paintball and air soft. Loads of fortresses and sniper locations. Would

also be fun to play kick the can, tag or hide and seek here. Prefer to play here

during the day as there are many drop offs and mine shaft holes in the ground.

Graffiti on walls and with a few exceptions, largely playful graffiti.

Gear: Hiking pants, long sleeve or short sleeve shirt, long sleeve fleece, light waterproof jacket, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, bug spray that includes ticks, camelback or regular back pack, 1-2 Liters water, 3-4 snacks, boots/running shoes, laser tag guns and vests Sample Itinerary:

2 pm - 4 pm - Hike to Paul Bunyans Woodpile and explore

430 pm - Drive to Silver City

430-530 pm - Laser tag
