Sample Itinerary -

815-3 pm - hike
Directions - White Pine Trailhead, Little Cottonwood Cyn
Activity -
Hike Pfeifferhorn Peak - 9.9 miles total out and back. Start at the White Pine Trailhead then take the turnoff to Red Pine Lake. Hike to Red Pine Lake and follow rocky trail south then west up slope and onto the rocky saddle before the summit. (Trail is hard to find going up the switchbacks - use All Trails map). Once arriving at the ridge below the peak, there is a rocky scramble. DO NOT go along the ridge like All Trails takes you. About 20 ft into the ridge scramble, scramble down the right side about 20 feet and traverse along the rocks almost to the end of the ridge. The hike to the top is not as hard as it looks. It is just a rocky switchback hike similar to above Red Pine Lake. All Trails Trip Report. Summit Post Trip Report
