Itinerary:

Carpooling - 3:00 pm

Hike - 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Directions: Past Tibble Fork Reservoir, up dirt road to Silver Lake Trailhead (high clearance vehicle recommended)

Activity: Silver Lake Trail is a 4.7 mile heavily trafficked out-and-back trail located near Alpine, Utah that features a lake and is rated as moderate. Start at the north end of Silver Lake Flats and wind your way uphill on a rocky dirt trail with several switchbacks. The trail will become steep. Finish on the south end of Silver Lake. Dogs allowed.

Gear: Hiking pants, synthetic T-shirt, long sleeve synthetic top, long sleeve fleece, light waterproof jacket, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, camelback or regular back pack with waist belt, 2-3 Liters water, 4-6 snacks, first aid kit, hiking boots/running shoes, trekking poles (optional)
