Sample Itinerary:
Trailhead - 10:00 am
Hike - 10:15 am - 1:00 pm
Drive: Deer Ridge Trailhead, Draper
Activity: Hiking Alien Tower - 2.5 mile out-and-back trail that is considered a moderately challenging route. Little shade (better in spring or fall) - more shady in the evening. There are many ways to get there but we took the direct route of Deer Ridge Drive (wide dirt road), then left on Telegraph Trail for just about 50 ft, then right on Off the Beaten Path (trail that skirts along the scrub oak hills), and then a left to the top (dirt trail - you will start meeting up with the dirt road again - go left onto the dirt trail to the top).
Also a great place for Horned Lizards if you know how to find them :). Drinking fountain, bathroom and benches at main parking area. Moderately steep going up with some sections of rocky and loose gravel trail. All Trails Trip Report
