Outdoor Painting - Utah Lakeshore 5/1/21

Serenaded by birds with Mt Timpanogos as a backdrop. There is no better place to learn how to paint!

Drive: I-15 north, west on American Fork Main st exit, Pioneer Crossing, left Saratoga Rd/2300 W, rt 7200 N, left Saratoga Rd, left Inlet Park. Trailhead (park in the north parking lot and take the dirt trail south, east of the paved trail south to Saratoga Springs hotsprings, and west of the metal fence. Hike about 5 minutes southeast to where the lake shore meets the Jordan River)

Activities:

Outdoor Painting - Park in the north parking lot and take the dirt trail south, east of the paved trail south to Saratoga Springs hotsprings, and west of the metal fence. Hike about 5 minutes southeast to where the lake shore meets the Jordan River. Set up chair and easel on the beach facing east.

Gear: chair, easel or chair, 2 water bottles (one for dirty paint water - don't pour onto sensitive lake shore), acrylic paints, brushes, canvas board, paper towels (for cleaning brushes), paper plate or palate (for paint), plastic bag (for garbage), sunhat, sunscreen Sample Itinerary:

9-12 pm - set up and paint

12 pm - lunch

1230-130 - hot springs
