Road Biking - Trail of the Coeur D'Alene's, Coeur D'Alene, Idaho 7/26/24

Best easy ride though the beautiful lakes and rivers around Coeur D'Alene. Don't miss riding over this awesome bridge as well!

Directions:  Chatcolet Trailhead, Heyburn State Park, Coeur D'Alene, Idaho (we start here so you can ride over the cool bridge first in case little riders don't go too far)

Cost: $7/car - CASH or you can pay with card at the Heyburn State Park visitors center 2 miles southeast during hours 8am - 430 pm. (They ticket and check frequently)

Activity:

Road Biking - Trail of the Coeur D'Alene's - Mostly flat, paved trail along multiple lakes and the Coeur D'Alene River. We preferred this trailhead above for those wanting to go 1-20 miles.  Chacolet starts right with the bridge that goes over the river. Incredible views right off the bat. A bit of a mini roller coaster feel to it as it goes up a leisure and enjoyable amount and then down again and then flat across the rest of river. Good for anyone and kids who know how to brake. Young families will enjoy and fun route for teens and older to go up to Harrison for lunch and back again. Trailhead has a bathroom and a park. There is a dock at the trailhead and you can put in a boat or paddleboard/kayak. Can camp. Full map of the Trail of the Coeur D'Alene's.
