Rock Climbing - Ledgemere, Big Cottonwood Cyn 5/17/25

Itinerary:

Instruction and hike - 8:00 am - 8:30 am

Climb - 8:30 am - Noon

Directions: Across the street from Ledgemere Picnic Area, Big Cottonwood Cyn (avoid picnic area fees by parking across the street)

Activity: Rock Climbing - 5.6-5.9 sport routes. Our favorite location is the far west climbs at the end of the paved trail through the picnic area. Has 4 beginner lead climb routes. Just DON'T put your stuff on the picnic tables or you will have to pay the $10 day pass. Mountain Project Trip Report.

Gear: Harness (can rent), helmet (can rent), exercise clothing, hiking shoes, climbing shoes (can rent), 1-2 L water, daypack, 2-4 snacks, sunscreen, sunglasses, first aid kit
