Snowshoeing - Jordanelle Reservoir, Keetley Loop and Wada Way 12/13/21

Cost - State Parks pass required to park in parking lot or $12 fee can pay in parking lot.

Activity -

Hike/Snowshoe Jordanelle Res Ross Creek - Wada and Keetley trails make up a 3.3 mi. easy figure 8 loop through desert brush surrounded by 360 mountain and lake views. Beautiful the entire time. 331 ft elevation gain. Takes around an hour to complete. Longer if with kids. Fun tree branch teepee along shoreline by parking lot. Good hike for families or people who don’t like to hike since you can just do shorter Keetley loop and call it or come back along the perimeter trail which is a direct route to parking lot. Trail Report

Mt Biking/Fat Tire Biking- Same trail. Definitely would recommend this trail for beginner mountain bikers, or fat bike tires in winter. Excellent for kids on their huffy bikes since full trail visibility and stone benches, great for breaks. Lunch at Cafe Galleria (Midway) - Get to eat in an Alpendome. Made the reservation a week in advance although they usually require more notice. $30 to reserve the table then italian food reasonably priced and delicious. Pizza, pastas and salads for around $12.

Gear - Hiking pants, synthetic T-shirt, long sleeve synthetic top, fleece, light waterproof jacket(optional), hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, gloves, camelback or regular back pack with waist belt, 1.5 Liter water, 1-2 snacks, first aid kit, hiking boots/waterproof boots, ice cleats or micro spikes (optional depending on weather)
