Sample Itinerary:
Day 1
8 am - Drive to Page,AZ (drive 5 1/2 hr)
Optional Excursions - Red hollow slot canyon, Belly of Dragon, Sand Caves, Toadstool Hoodoos
4pm - Check into Lake Powell Resort (rooms have mini fridges but NO microwaves) (Note, if it's 5 PM UT, it's 4 PM in Page). Clean kayaks & paddleboards at Wahweap Marina Launch ramp (right next to resort).
5pm - Dinner in Page, AZ on own
8 - 10 pm - Poolside Dessert & Late Night Snack Potluck (Hot Tubbing, Pool & Games (you bring, any type)
Day 2
7:30 - 9:00 am - Rattlesnake & Owl Slot Canyon Tour by Black Streak Tours on Native land
8:00 am -1 pm - Kayak Lower Antelope Cyn (AM group)
1-2 pm - lunch
2-7 pm - Kayak Lower Antelope cyn (PM group)
3:50 pm - 5:30 pm - Antelope Slot Canyon Tour by Navajo Tours. Native Tour. $112.25- last tour of the day. It must be in cash or you don't go.
6:00 pm - Dinner at resort restaurant
(Optional) Tours you can book yourself.
Rattlesnake & Owl Slot Canyon Tour by Black Streak Tours. On Native land.
(Optional) Lower Antelope Canyon Slot Tour - Ken’s Tours or Dixie’s Lower both $80.50 with tax. Same price. Same tour leaving from same trailhead. Same family owns both. Recommend booking last tour of the day. These are often super crowded tours and difficult to get pictures unless you book last tour of the day and no one is behind you.

Day 3
9:00 am - Morning Yoga at grassy area next to the pool
11:00 am - 1:00 pm - 3 Optional Short Hikes in Page:
12:30 - 3:30 pm - Beach Party and Paddleboad (Lake Powell Resort Beach) or Lone Rock (there was just no water this year)
4:00 pm -6:00 pm - Games & Pool Party (Bring Snacks to share) Escalante Pool
5:00 pm - Pizza arrives at the Pool. (ordered from in Page but there is also a more expensive Pizza place at the resort) *It rained so we contacted the front desk and manager Mallory gave the ok to have our Pizza Party and games in the lobby.
7:00 pm - Sunset
8:00 pm - Laser Tag. Meet at the Ice Machines to carpool to New Wave
Drive to the New Wave ***Be VERY careful to park and drive only on gravel and not sand so your car doesn’t get stuck.
10:00 pm - Optional late night dip
Day 4
Sleep in
10-11 am - check out
12 pm - lunch
2pm - drive home
Optional excursions on the way - New Wave (back towards Page), Toadstool Hoodoos and Meadow Hot Springs (near Fillmore)
Directions:
Lake Powell Resort - $30/car to enter marina for 7 days or free with National Parks Pass
Late night swimming spot (Lake Powell Resort - water was low this year, so we hiked down to the water from here)
Hikes on the way there and back:
• Red Hollow slot cyn - Orderville All Trails Trip Report
• Sand Caves near Moqui- Short hike then rock scramble. Easy/Moderate. 1.2 mi. All Trails Trip Report
• Belly of the Dragon - 0.25 mi. Easy
Hikes near Page:
Toadstool Hoodoos- 1.5 mi Easy
Biidi, the Arch - 0.25 mile total sandy hike. Easy (north east of the Shell gas station - best photos are from inside the cove looking out)
Grandview Overlook - easy walk to a viewpoint from the parking lot. Paved.
Hanging Gardens Trailhead - 1.4 mile total out and back dirt packed trail. All Trail Trip Report

Rattlesnake & Owl Slot Canyon - Start @ Black Streak Tours
Antelope Slot Canyon Tour by Navajo Tours
Kayaking Antelope Canyon Put In (Day 2) 5 mi. Round trip. Takes 3-5 hrs.
Paddleboard & Kayaking Lone Rock (Day 3) Parking Lot 0.5 mi. walk through sand to beach. Kayak/paddleboard 0.5-1 mi. (we had to do a beach day at the resort this year due to low water)
Horseshoe Bend Viewpoint 0.7 mi. Easy $10/car. Can pay cash or card.
New Wave - Parking and Beehive Trailhead - 1.4 mile loop. Moderate hike. All Trails Trip Report
Cost:
Resort Lodging: approx $177/person. 3 nights, 4 days, peak season. All are Deluxe View Rooms featuring postcard views of Lake Powell, including Wahweap Bay, Lone Rock and Castle Rock. Our 300 sq. ft. room is loaded with upscale amenities and chairs out on the patio to enjoy Lake Powell's breathtaking sunset views.Shared queen bed. Rooms each have 2 queens and bathroom w/tub & shower.2 pools, hot tub, mini fridge.
Antelope Canyon Tour (optional): $80.50 Booked through Kens or Dixies Antelope Cyn Tours

Your own food, carpool gas. Bring a kayak or paddleboard. Can rent or borrow, we will share what we can.

Hiking Rattlesnake and Owl Canyon - Very short bus ride then 0.7 mi. easy hike. Beautiful slot canyon for photography
Jet Skiing/Boat Rental at Marina: Wahweap Boat Rental - 1st come 1st serve rentals. 5 min drive NW of Resort. 928-645-1078 They have 4-5 jet skis for rent. Recommend you come 8am at opening time to get one. 2hr -$129; 4hr - $199; Full Day (til 4pm) - $299; You also pay for gas used. 15 gallons what people typically use in 2-3 hrs. $6.61/gal. Full day you fill up gas yourself when run out at Marina gas pump. Can also rent boats from them. Can also contact other outfitters. This is just closest one to our resort.
Gear/Packing List: Synthetic t-shirt & long sleeve, yoga pants, fleece, rain jacket, socks, hiking shoes, water shoes/ sandals, sunscreen, bug spray, sunglasses, pjs, hat, 2 swimsuits, towel (yes resort has towels but still bring your own for beach stuff. You will need to towel dry off kayaks & Paddleboards per invasive mussel rule so you may want 2 towels), 3 days of beach clothes, sleeping aids, medications, ear plugs, toiletries, 3L water, snacks, kayaks or paddleboards with life jackets, Paddleboards (optional), dry bag, reusable water bottle with a loop to attach a caribiner or strap/string to your kayak(carabiner optional), phone charger & car charger, $ for food (resort rooms do have mini fridges that you are sharing with 4 people total in each room). National Parks Pass or ($30/car chip in to enter marina where the resort is, good for 1-7days), yoga mat (optional). Wrist watch to keep time straight between AZ and UT time zones (optional), mini cooler, Cash for slot canyon tour (must be paid in cash). Potluck dessert/snack item, Beach games & poolside/indoor games, yoga mat (optional)
Food Ideas:
Lake Powell Resort - Wahweap pizza on website out of business, other places are at Bullfrog which is not where we are). Loads more options not featured here are in Page, AZ.
• Wind Cafe - 7am - 6pm (Pastries, coffee, deli sandwiches etc)
• Latitude 37 - 12pm - 7pm (Sandwich & Burger Joint. Walk-ins. $15-20. Located on water so to go, come to the lobby, ask to get a golf cart driver (free) to take you down to restaurant on the dock)
• Driftwood Lounge - 12pm - 9pm (Lunch, dinner, bar. Walk-ins. $15-25)
• Rainbow Room - Breakfast 6am-10am (Breakfast Buffet only- $20 per person, Walk-in) , Dinner 5-9pm (Reservation only.opentables.com $15-30)
Page, AZ Dining/Food recommendations:
Canyon Crepes (Page, AZ great quality crepes for $10-12. no server to tip. Favorite place on trip. Down an alley way, but trust us it is delicious. Yummy crepes, but they had amazing salad options too!)
Ranch House Grille (Mexican - Trip Advisor review breakfast, lunch, dinner great food & service)

Area we are at has 2 time zones, Mountain Daylight Time (MDT) & Mountain Standard Time (MST).
