3:00 - 7:00 pm - First Time Certification

Activity: Canyoneering Clinic - Learn how to canyoneer! Our awesome trip leaders will teach you the Core Skills from the American Canyoneering Association, including Logics and Safety, Leave No Trace, Rope and Equipment Care, Basic Knots, Intro to Anchors and Rigging, Signals/Communication, Climbing/Spotting/Hand Lines, Rappelling/Belaying/Self-Rescue skills.
Recertification:
Station 1 - Rappelling - adding friction/locking off, sit start, rappelling with backpack on back and hanging, using VT prussik, stemming/chimneying/bridging, partner assist/partner capture
Station 2 - Knots - Fishermans, figure 8 on a bite, figure 8 follow through, munter, clove hitch, water knot, girth hitch, prussik, VT prussik
Station 3 - Lecture/Info pass off - (read ACA booklet before and be able to describe): canyon ratings, accidents, weather, flash floods, SOS on Beacon, leave no trace, hand signals
Certification:
