Youth Hiking - Big Springs, Provo Canyon 5/13/24

Great place to play and explore! Magic tree, fairy tunnel, little bridges, streams and a small rope swing!

Sample Itinerary:

9-10:30 am - Hike

Directions: Upper Parkinglot, Big Springs, Provo

Activity: Hiking Big Springs - 2 mile loop. You can hike as far as you want and come back. We recommend starting at the trailhead leaving north of the parking lot. Follow the trail across the bridge and then to the west. The stream is small and perfect for littles. In about 5 min you will see a small pool on the left with a rope swing. Great place to hang out. There is also a knarly old tree about 1 min southwest into the woods that we like to climb on. About 5 min further up the trail is a small group of shrubs with a tunnel through them we call the "Fairy Tunnel". There are 5 bridges along this trail to the meadow and it's fun to stop at them all or count as you go. Once to the meadow you can have a picnic, turn around the same way or take the dirt road to the left back as a loop.  All Trails Trip Report (we just do the first mile)
