Downhill Skiing - Swimsuit/Costume Ski Alta Ski Resort 4/9/22

Nothing is better than the thrill of skiing with next to nothing on!

Drive: I-15 north, east 9000 s, up Little Cottonwood Cyn to Alta Ski Resort at the end of the road, lower parking lot. Meet in front of the Ski School. Meet outside the Albion Grill for tailgate.

Activity:

Tailgate - Meet outside the Albion Grill. Will be grilling up brats and having a potluck prior to skiing (Served Brats and Root Beers on the Alta Balcony. Emily brought her hibachi grill. Staff had no concerns with us grilling on the snow next to the balcony. )

Downhill Skiing - Ski down to the free Snow Pine lift. Beginner lift - 2 short runs. (for advanced beginners or intermediate - too hard to learn for your first time)

Gear: Downhill skiis, poles, boots, helmet, long sleeve synthetic shirt, liner pants, ski pants, ski coat, gloves, hat, goggles, sunscreen, costume or swimsuit!

Rentals: Downhill ski package ($17 BYU Outdoors Unlimited, $18 with helmet UVU

Outdoor Adventure Center, $34 1/2 day Alta)

Helmet ($6 BYU Outdoors Unlimited)

Itinerary:

2 - 3 pm - Tailgate in parking lot or to the east of the Albion Grill outside

3 - 430 pm - Swimsuit/Costume ski
