E-Biking - Khyv Pk

Sample Itinerary:

7:30 am - carpooling on own

8 am - Meet up at Palisade Park: 1313 E 800 N, Orem, UT 84097 load into truck & drive up Provo Canyon

8:30-11:30 pm - Ride

11:30/12pm - Get shuttled back to Orem

Directions: Palisade Park , Orem, UT 84097

Activity: E Biking Khyv Pk - 25 miles one way. Ride from end of Kyhv Peak Rd pavement (Hope Campground area) to "park & ride" lot near Bartholomew Park, Springville. This is a TOUGH ride with LOTS of climbing, LOTS of ruts & TONS of rock gardens! KNOW HOW TO HANDLE YOUR BIKE!!!

Pre-req's for eMTB Kyhv Peak ride:

-Able to ride 25mi on MTB

-Able to climb grades up to 17%

-Able to descent grades up to 20%

-Able to handle loose, technical rock gardens as those found in Blue rated trails

-Able to perform of basic bike trail repair - fix a flat, adjust seat height, handle bars, etc.

Gear: eMTB, helmet is required, sturdy shoes, 2L water in backpack (most bikes don't have bottle holders), bike repair kit (patches, 3 bike levers, spare tube, pump - if you have them or rental company gives you one), several small snacks, sunglasses, bike gloves or leather climbing gloves - full finger, light jacket for the AM, padded bike shorts are a definite plus
