Hiking - Alien Tower, Draper 7/10/23

Updated: Aug 25

There are so many beautiful flowers on this hike mid summer! And the view of the city at the top is pretty neat.

Itinerary:

Trailhead - 8:00 am

Hike - 8:15 am - 11:00 am

Drive: Deer Ridge Trailhead, Draper

Activity: Hiking Alien Tower - 2.5 mile out-and-back trail that is considered a moderately challenging route. It's a popular trail and usually takes about 1.5 hours to complete. Morning in the summer has some shade. Also a great place for Horned Lizards if you know how to find them :). Drinking fountain, bathroom and benches at main parking area. Moderately steep going up with some sections of rocky and loose gravel trail. Not much cover for "bathroom breaks". All Trails Trip Report

Gear: T-shirt, long sleeve fleece, light waterproof jacket, hiking pants/shorts, gloves, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, camelback or regular back pack, 1-2 Liters water, 3-4 snacks, hiking shoes/boots
