Activity: Hike Bells Canyon - Classic, beautiful 4.5 mile out and back trail that offers a little bit of everything to see - features a lake, waterfall and city views. A bit steep at the last 1/3 mi but worth it. Well maintained trail. Slippery around the falls and some snow, so we recommend microspikes and poles in spring, fall and winter. Dogs are not allowed on the trail. Protected watershed area. Great trail year round for trail running, snowshoeing, and hiking. Do check for avalanche concern in the snow season. From the parking lot you will first reach the Bell Canyon Reservoir. After that, continue up the canyon. The trail becomes rocky and steep after the first bridge. Be sure to bring enough water. Route ends at the lower falls. All Trails Trip Report
