Hiking - Willow Heights Overview 11/23/21



Directions - North on I-15. Take 2-15 East bound exit. Take exit 6, keep right at fork for UT-190. The immediate left, follow signs for UT-190 W/6200 S. In 350 ft. Turn right onto UT 190 E/6200 S. Continue 1.7 mi. Left onto UT-190 E/Big Cottonwood Cyn Rd., 13 mi. sharp left onto NF-223/Old Stage Rd. 200 ft you are there. Dirt parking lot on the right. No bathrooms. Trailhead.


Activity -

Hiking Willow Heights Overview - 2.8 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail to a two-seater wooden bench overlooking Willow Lake and down canyon. The trail starts on the left side of the dirt road 20 ft down from the rt dirt parking lot. The dirt trail heads up a moderate grade for about 20 min. It levels out for a bit, then wraps around the hill. Take the left trail and stay level to the bench. (No dogs in this canyon) Trail Report.

Gear -Hiking pants, synthetic T-shirt, long sleeve synthetic top, fleece, light waterproof jacket(optional), hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, gloves, camelback or regular back pack with waist belt, 2 Liter water, 1-2 snacks, first aid kit, hiking boots/running shoes, trekking poles (optional but good if have knee or ankle issues), ice cleats (optional depending on weather).
