Hiking - Woodland Hills Switchbacks 11/18/21

Great forest exercise hike with south valley views. Steep switchbacks to get your heart pumping and beautiful scenery with wildlife tracks. We prefer this over the Y for exercise when I want a hike with not a lot of people.



Directions - I-15 South take Exit 257A to SF Main St. CONTINE 3.2 mi. then Left on Woodland Hills Dr. 3.8 mi. continue straight through traffic circle 1.6 mi. Left on Broad Hollow, Right on Homestead Dr., Left on Eagle Nest Dr., Left on Deep Forest Cir. Park at Deep Forest Circle Trailhead


Activity -

Hiking Woodland Hills Switchbacks - 2.8 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Salem, Utah. Moderately steep dirt trail with many switchbacks but great views. Trail Report


Gear -Hiking pants, synthetic T-shirt, long sleeve synthetic top, fleece, light waterproof jacket(optional), hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, gloves, camelback or regular back pack with waist belt, 2 Liter water, 1-2 snacks, first aid kit, hiking boots/running shoes, trekking poles (optional but good if have knee or ankle issues), ice cleats (optional depending on weather).
