Itinerary:

Carpooling - 3:00 pm

Shelter Building - 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Fire Starting - 5pm-6pm

Edible Plants/Water - 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Overnight

Pack-up/Home - 9:00 am - 10:00 am


Directions: South Rt Fk Hobble Creek Rd, Hobble Creek Canyon


Activity:

1. Survival Skills - Shelter Building (2 hr) -Tarp Shelters (Lean-to, A-frame, Modified A-frame, Diamond), Debri Shelter (having the shelter as close to your body and low is best for body heat without a fire)

2. Fire Starting (1 hr) -Magnifying Glass, 9 Volt battery/steel wool, Flint/Steel/Magnesium

3. Edible Plants (found Service Berries!)/Purifying Water

4. Overnight - With ONLY what is in your daypack, you and the group will be spending the night in the same location. Put your skills to the test and see how to survive a night in the woods.


Gear: Long sleeve shirt, long sleeve fleece, light waterproof jacket, pants, boots/shoes, 1 Liter water, 2-4 snacks, knife, (if you have them: tarp, 9V battery, cordage, flint/steel, magnifying glass), daypack, first aid kit, survival kit
