Sample Itinerary:

Carpooling - 7:45 meet at 570 W 500 S, Bountiful, UT 84010 north of cubby's parking lot

River Exit - 10 am

Shuttle drive to put in - 10:30 am

Float river - 11-4pm (4-6 hr)

River Exit - 4pm

Drive Home


Directions:

*Shuttle takes about 30-40 min one way


Cost:

Rentals:

  • $30 for 2 person inflatable kayak (BYU Outdoors)

  • $25 for 2 person inflatable kayak (UVU Adventure Center) - both include PFDs and paddles

  • $32 single person inflatable kayak- $34 for a 2 person (Morts)

    *May need to rent for 2 days depending on when you return it.


Activity:

Kayak Oneida Narrows -Class II (II+/III- for some sections). 4.6 miles point-to-point. You will need to set up a shuttle with your vehicles. Oneida Narrows Paddle Route All Trails


Tip: Inflatable kayaks are best for this activity, followed by sit on top kayaks. It can be done on a paddle board but it's more fun in a kayak. Use caution when using a hard kayak because once they flip, they are very difficult to swim to shore to flip and empty them.

Cell Service: no


Gear: swim suit, life jacket. rain jacket/poncho, river shoes like tevas or old sneakers- NO FLIP FLOPS, 2 L water in water bottle - NO CAMELBAKS, 3-4 snacks plus lunch in gallon ziplock bag, dry bag, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, first aid kit., waterproof phone case
