Updated: Aug 18

THE best place to learn how to ski for FREE. The lift is an access lift to a hotel and is free to the general public!

Sample Itinerary:

1-130 pm - go to the bathroom, get geared up

130 pm - meet at the top of snow pine lift

1:30-2:30 pm - Lesson

2:30 - 4:30 pm - Free ski

Directions: Top of Snow Pine Lift, Alta

We will be doing the free beginner snow pine lift. Parking at Alta is free after 1:00 p.m. Park as close as you can get to the PIN above. This will be the top of the lift and make it easy to walk down.

Activity:

We will provide instruction for any beginners. This is appropriate for all ages two and up. Do know that younger than 4 years old  does involve a lot of tears. Bring lots of treats. No snowboards at this resort. Alta snow pine lift is free 9-430 pm every day and accesses two easy runs.

Tips for skiing with kids:

  • Make sure to stop at the bathrooms first (can leave some items in lockers there), take the elevator down and start your experience in front of the ski school. Ski down the hill next to the rope tow to the base of the snow pine lift

  • Parking is free after 1pm everyday

  • Use the Elate ski videos on YouTube for great ski tips

Bathrooms - to the west of the Alta ski shop with lockers. Highly recommend stopping here before we meet at 1:00.
