Rafting - Weber River, Henefer 7/25/26


Itinerary:

Shuttle Set-Up - 11:00 am

Instruction & Raft Set-Up - 11:30 am

Float River - 12:00 Pm - 2:00 pm

Back to Trailhead - 2:30 pm


Directions: Put In - Weber River Float Parking Lot  , Henefer

                   Take Out - Taggarts


Cost: 

$20 raft rental with life jacket

$10 parking/vehicle


Activity: Float Weber River - Beginner Float. First 1/3 is Boulder Ally with lots of boulders to navigate then takeout at the bridge in Croyden (river left right before bridge). Carry raft out and over bridge to river left. IF the water is low (250-300 cfs, you can walk the raft under the bridge very carefully from upriver being very mindful of entrapment of feet in rocks. Pull out right. Snacks. Float second third past Devils Slide. There is a rock section right after the croyden bridge - run it center to keep from getting stuck on the left boulder (we have flipped a boat here). Series of class 2 rapids follow with another smaller boulder alley section. Float last third under pile-ons (killer pillars - float center and then left) and through class 2-3 rapid (ride it left) before takeout at Taggarts (river right).


Gear: thin T-shirt, thin long-sleeve shirt, rain jacket, shorts or hiking pants, swimming suit, running shoes or sandals - NO FLIP FLOPS, 2 L water in water bottle with carabiner to attach to raft - NO CAMEL BAKS, 3-4 snacks plus lunch in gallon ziplock bag, dry bag, sunscreen, bug spray, sunglasses, hat, first aid kit., waterproof phone case, raft/life jackets/paddles (can rent)


Rentals:

• Rafts - 6-8 person rafts with life jackets and paddles ($60-70 per day - BYU Outdoors; $70-85 per day - UVU Adventure Center - includes pump and throw bag)

• Electric pump ($15 per day - BYU Outdoors)

• Throw Bag ($5 per day - BYU Outdoors)
