Sample Itinerary:

Set up 4 pm

Rappelling - 5-8pm

Directions: Echo Picnic area, American Fork Canyon

Cost: $6 day use fee or FREE with National Parks Pass

Activity:

Rappelling - Access rappelling sites by hiking behind large cliff on the south side of the picnic area. Hike around to the left and back of the wall. Moderate scramble up a rocky trail to the top. 3 bolted sites with 65 ft rappel. 2/3 way down there is an overhang.

Gear: harness (can rent), helmet (can rent), 1 L water, snacks

Harness: ($6/day BYU Outdoors)

Helmet: ($4/day BYU Outdoors; $6/day UVU Outdoor Adventure Center)
