Snowshoeing - Bell Canyon Reservoir 12/13/22

Great easy snowshoe in the foothills after a recent dump of snow (avalanche risk very low in this area)


Itinerary:

4:00 pm - Lehi Carpool

3:30 pm - Springville Carpool

5:00 pm -Trailhead

5:00 pm - 6:30 pm - Hike/Snowshoe

8:00 pm - Home



Activity: Hike/Snowshoe at night - This is a 1 mile loop near Sandy, UT. Easy but moderately steep and bouldery route up to the reservoir. The trail starts in a neighborhood and then heads straight up to the reservoir. Great trail with low avalanche danger.


Gear: Hiking or Snow pants, snowshoes or microspikes, gloves, synthetic T-shirt, long sleeve synthetic top, long sleeve fleece, light waterproof jacket, light down coat, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, camelback or regular back pack with waist belt, 1 Liters water, 2 snacks, first aid kit, hiking boots or shoes/snowboots, headlamp.
