Caving - Intro To Caving Timpanogos Cave 6/24/26

Itinerary -

Meet at Timpanogos Cave National Monument Visitors Center - 9:45 am

Hike up to cave - 10-1130 am

Cave tour - 11:30-1 pm

Hike back 1-2:30 pm

 Activity -

Caving - Timpanogos Intro to Caving Tour - Small groups of 5 are able to explore OFF the beaten path of the normal Timpanogos cave tours with a private ranger. Enjoyable cave tour for beginning cavers. Hike up the STEEP but paved 3.8 total out and back trail. You then meet the ranger and get dressed in coveralls, helmet, headlamp, and gloves. You enter the cave at the same entrance but after entering you head to the right off the main path. Crawling, scrambling and one handline. No super tight spaces.  Cave Info All Trails Trip Report

Cost - Cave Tickets $22

Tip: Tickets should be purchased from Recreation.gov as soon as they become available on the website.  Only 5 tickets max per tour.

Gear - Thin T-shirts, thin long-sleeve shirts, fleece, puffy coat, rain jacket, hiking pants, running shoes or boots, 1-2 L water bottles, snacks, small backpack (can't bring backpacks, food or water in the cave)
