Beautiful views of the Salt Lake Valley and one of the easiest winter or summer summits to knock off and get started on peak-bagging!
Drive: I-15 North, 2-15 east, 3900 S exit, left Wasatch Blvd, rt 3800 S up Millcreek Cyn to
Winter trailhead - picnic area gate is closed. Park on the road and hike up through the
picnic area north until you get to the kiosk and trailhead.
Summer trailhead - drive up to through the picnic area to a small parking area and kiosk.
Activities:
Hike/Snowshoe Grandeur Peak - 6.5 miles. Trail Info.
Gear: Micro spikes/Yak Tracks (weather dependent), hiking pants, long sleeve or short
sleeve shirt, long sleeve fleece, light waterproof jacket, gloves, hat, sunglasses,
sunscreen, camelback or regular back pack (with space remaining to shove clothes in
when you get too warm), 1-2 Liters water, 3-4 snacks, boots Sample Itinerary: 6.5 miles total
2 pm - 6pm: Hike to peak and back (if in early spring conditions)
