Carpool - 9:00 am

Hike - 9:15 am - 1:00 pm

Directions: Granite Trailhead, Lower Falls Bells Canyon

Activity: Hike - Lower Falls up Bells Canyon.  Classic, beautiful 4.5 mi. out and back trail that offers a little bit of everything to see - features a lake, waterfall and city views. A bit steep at the last 1/3 mi but worth it. Well maintained trail. Slippery around the falls and some snow so recommend microspikes and poles in spring. Dogs are not allowed on the trail. Protected watershed area. Great trail year round too for trail running, snowshoeing, and hiking. Wildflowers, Wildlife & Waterfall, plus views. Do check for avalanche concern in the snow season. From the parking lot you will first reach the Lower Bell Canyon Reservoir. After that, continue up the canyon, the trail is rocky and steep. Be sure to bring enough water. Route ends at the lower falls. Views throughout the hike of cityscapes and canyon. All Trails Trip Report
