Kayak Lost Lake - Kayak and explore a beautiful high Uintah lake. Flat water generally, Not too big of a lake. Great for beginners. High alpine lake that’s small enough to paddle around in a couple hours. Plenty of shade trees generally and depending on fullness of lake can have more or less “beach” areas. North end parking lot has the most beach area and a gravel parking lot with enough room to pull around a trailer. SW parking is a pull off from road and not good for trailers. NOTE - Lots of fire mitigation work in the area, maybe close to 15-20% of trees are gone, resulting in less shady areas along the shoreline.
Tips:
Make sure to be aware of fisherman’s lines.
Wear extra layers for warmth if weather is cool.
Getting there early helps with parking and getting flat water.
