Sample Itinerary:
Trailhead - 7:00 am
Bike - 7:15-9:00 am
Directions: South Maple Hollow Trailhead, Draper
Activity: Mountain bike Rattle and Hum- 3 mile loop. Woods Hollow trail 1.5 mile uphill and Rattle and Hum 1.5 mile downhill. Trailforks Trip Report
Tips: The ride up has some smaller rocks and roots protruding out, but it's manageable. Going down was a smoother ride than going up. Not too long of a ride up and around. There is potential of doing the loops one or more times if desired. Should be a beautiful day for a ride! The trailhead does get busy on Saturday mornings. When we first reconned the trip, there is a turnout about ⅓ of the way up the trail that I thought was the one you take. You can take this and it loops you back to the beginning. That loop is great for early beginners.
Gear: Mt Bike with Front Suspension (hard tail), helmet, thin T-shirt, thin long-sleeve shirt, shorts or yoga pants, running shoes, biking gloves, elbow and knee pads (optional but encouraged), bike repair kit and hand pump (optional but encouraged), 1-2 L water or 2 water bottles, 3-4 snacks, small backpack, sunscreen, sunglasses, biking gloves
*BEGINNERS - wear pants, biking gloves, and knee/elbow pads for less abrasions from falls
