Sample Itinerary:
Arrive and set up - 10 am
Float - 1030-12pm
Directions: Parkinglot (on the south end), Salem Pond, Salem
Hike north through the playground and hill to the sandy beach and putin.
Activity: Kayaking/Paddleboarding Salem Pond - Beautiful city park pond. Generally smooth water throughout the day. Best flat water is usually before noon. Can kayak, paddleboard or canoe on this pond. What a fun activity! We got to see ducks, geese, turtles, crazy teenagers jumping off the bridge, etc. So fun!

Gear: Thin T-shirts, thin long-sleeve shirts, fleece, rain jacket, shorts or hiking pants, swimming suit, water shoes, running shoes or sandals, 2 L water bottles, snacks, small backpack/drybag, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, first aid kit, kayak, paddleboard, paddles, lifejackets
All boaters — whether you are a Utah resident or nonresident — you must take the annual Utah mussel-aware boater course and have proof of course completion in your launch vehicle (a printed copy or digital copy in their app). This includes users of all kinds of watercraft, including motorized boats and human-powered kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, etc.
